Two Factor Authentication (2FA)
You have the option to have 2FA enabled for your business subscription. When enabled, all users in your business must use 2FA to access their account.
What is 2FA?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security process in which users provide two different codes to login:
- email link OR password
- a code from their phone authentication app
This makes their account more secure, since even if their email account or password is compromised, the attacker would also need access to their phone to login.
If you plan on storing confidential information on your account, it is good practice to use 2FA as an extra layer of security.
Enabling 2FA
To enable 2FA, please create a support ticket and we will enable it for your business subscription.
Logging in with 2FA
Once 2FA is enabled, the next time a user logs in they will be prompted to setup 2FA on their account. Once setup, they will be asked for the code from their phone to be allowed access to their account.
To use 2FA, you will need a smartphone with an authenticator app installed. We recommend using Google Authenticator or Authy. Either can be downloaded free of charge from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Resetting 2FA (Lost Phone)
If you lose your phone, you will need to create a support ticket with us to reset your 2FA.
