Gap Analysis

Introduction

The gap analysis tool is used to create a list of retailers that are not currently located in a particular area.

This can be useful when looking to attract new retailers to a scheme or area, or when looking to see what retailers are missing from a particular area.

Using the Gap Analysis Tool

To use the gap analysis tool, you must first navigate to the Gap Analysis page from the main menu.

Before using the Gap Analysis tool, please take a quick look at our tracked retailers page to see which retailers we are currently tracking.

Creating a Gap Analysis

To create a new Gap Analysis, press the New Report button at the top of the page.

Complete the form with the required filters:

Press the Generate button.

Viewing a Gap Analysis

Once you have created a Gap Analysis, you will returned back to the Gap Analysis page.

The Gap Analysis you have just created should be shown on the table.

In the far right column, there are 2 buttons;

  • Here - this will show you a list of retailers that are located within the set parameters
  • Not Here - this will show you a list of retailers that are not located within the set parameters

When you click on here or not here, it will show you the list of retailers that are either located or not located in the area you have selected:

You can export the results of the Gap Analysis to Excel by pressing the export button at the top right of the list.
