Comments, tagging & mentions

Introduction

RPD is designed to be your companies knowledge base. Use comments with tagging to quickly build a comprehensive network of information across the business.

Comments

You can leave comments in a variety of places in RPD, including:

  • Enquiries
  • Deals
  • Properties
  • Schemes
  • Companies

They are useful for leaving notes to look back on when you need to remember why a decision was made.

Tagging

Tagging is a way to link a comment to a specific person, company or property. You can tag a user, company, property or scheme in a comment by using the @ symbol followed by the name of the user, company or scheme/property.

For example, if you wanted to tag a company 'Greggs' into a comment, you would type @Greggs and then select the company from the dropdown list.

Mentions

When viewing companies, contacts, properties or schemes in RPD, one of the tabs is called 'Mentions'. This tab will show you all the comments that have been made that have tagged that company, contact, property or scheme.

So from the example above, if you were to write in a comment @Greggs and then save the comment, when you go to the 'Mentions' tab on the Greggs company page, you would see the comment that you made.
